In celebration of International Women’s Day, Stories We Keep in Her Room brings together 5 women artists in a group exhibition exploring memory as something inherited, embodied, and quietly carried across generations.

Develovemental Stages, oil on canvas, diptych, 24"x 14", 2025.

The Forest I, oil on canvas, 3’x6’, 2025

Through textiles, installation, painting, ceramics, and mixed media, the exhibition considers how emotional knowledge is transmitted through gesture, repetition, and touch. The “room” functions as both a physical and symbolic space. An interior landscape where memory is held rather than declared.

Each work serves as a vessel for stories shaped by tenderness, endurance, care, and moments of rupture. Together, the artists create a space where memory is not presented as spectacle, but as a living presence—soft, persistent, and continuously unfolding.

Artists: Isabel Carmona, Nathalie Marti, Yun Jung Rhee, Hyemin Lee, Zara Xena, curated by Mona Kim

A large-scale gallery installation composed of hundreds of brightly colored pillows cascades across the floor and rises in a towering vertical column, set against minimalist white walls with contemporary paintings in the background.
