In HOW I GET TO DO WHAT I DO, two artists uncover the often overlooked realities of making art while raising kids.

In a warm, lived-in kitchen, artists Aya Ogawa and Shaina Feinberg prepare a simple meal while pulling back the curtain on their lives and careers. Between chopping vegetables, they swap stories about the less glamorous side of juggling art and parenthood. Mx. Ogawa, who uses they/them pronouns, and Ms. Feinberg, refuse to romanticize the struggle, sharing stories of how they got where they are now and offering advice to the next generation of artists.
