Birthing Seeds — A Poem by Tanagidan To Win (Tara Perron)

A soft, abstract pattern of multicolored leaves and small circular shapes scattered across a light background, with delicate black lines suggesting branches.

The hands of Creator paint a picture so vividly breathtaking... one's heart unfolds universal truths as effortlessly as petals. Open yourself to seek a new Wo'wakan (sacred). Her brush artistically strokes men that drum to Sacred seeds. They willfully grass dance to produce rain from the heavens. The women connect vocals as if healing the past and begin to sing. The children lead with laughter and set forth whispering sweet somethings to these essential yet tiny seeds. A momentous round dance bound by ancestral healing... creating dreams and ambition ignites a seedling. United, we honor your spirit! Now, rise up with all of your gifts of wonder and delight. Braid into our seven teachings with your resilient mind, body, and soul. For you are the chosen. To follow, to lead, to provide, and to seed. A rising sun, star nations full of glow, glorious mountains, and healing waters below. That is you! You are what this world needs, and it all starts with how we collectively birth our seeds.
