Marche Rue Dix’s Spring Collection Is Serving Senegalese Fashion By Way of Brooklyn

Words by Attia Taylor

It’s not a shopping trip in Brooklyn without a visit to Black-owned concept stores. And Marche Rue Dix in Crown Heights is not one to sleep on. Nestled next to their delicious French Senegalese restaurant, Café Rue Dix, a first look inside will instantly catch your eye and your wallet. From the grandness of their checkered floors and displays showcasing items from some of the world’s best designers; we’re simply enamored.

This Spring, Marche launched a funky new campaign called DSS to JFK. The collection is self-described as “ the journey between Dakar and Brooklyn. It's the intersection between Senegalese tradition and the influence of African American culture. Each piece is handmade with love by some of the best tailors and jewelry craftsmen in Senegal.”

Check out some of the looks below photographed by Travis Matthews and shop the collection now at their boutique and online.
