About the Photographer

Kierra Jenaé Johnson is a visual artist working primarily in photography. Her practice uses staged portraiture to explore Black cultural traditions and how they’re expressed throughout the body. 

With nearly a decade of experience in creative projects, she’s partnered with clients such as Blavity, Facebook, Walker&Co, and Healthy Black Families. Currently, she’s making work at her growing practice, Unity Studio.
